The New Territories General Chamber of Commerce, Director of the HKBU Foundation, celebrated the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland and hosted its 11th Inauguration Ceremony at The Mira Hong Kong on 21 February 2017. Dr. Haywood Cheung and Dr. Sam Wong, MH, President and Chairman respectively of the New Territories General Chamber of Commerce, as well as some 800 dignitaries and honourable guests including The Hon. Leung Chun Ying, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Mr. Eddie Ng, SBS, JP, Secretary for Education; Mr. Lin Wu, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; and Dr. Dennis Ng, BBS, MH, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, officiated the ceremony. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement, attended the event on behalf of the University.
