Belt and Road – A Tour of Artistic Diplomacy: Crested Ibises by Shanghai Dance Theatre
In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the Motherland, the HKBU Century Club and the School of Chinese Medicine co-organised a dance drama “Crested Ibises”, which was performed by the Shanghai Dance Theatre. The funds raised from this performance were mainly be used in support of the HKBU Century Club’s Student Ambassador Scheme and the advancement of the School of Chinese Medicine. The Student Ambassador Scheme aims to sponsor students to participate in the “Belt and Road – A Tour of Artistic Diplomacy”.
A number of HKBU Foundation Members attended the event. They included Dr. Daniel Tse, GBS, CBE, JP, President Emeritus of HKBU and Mrs. Kitty Tse; Dr. Justin Chiu, Honorary Chairman of the Organising Committee on “Crested Ibises”, and Mrs. Rita Chiu; Ms. Katie Chan, Honorary President of the Organiser Art Concept Culture Institute; Mrs. Mary Suen; Mr. Wong Nga Chung, Ms. Marianna Tsang; Ms. Esther Wong; and Mr. Kent Tsui. Mr. C.K. Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Engagement); and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, also joined the event on behalf of the University.
