Hong Kong and Kowloon Chiu Chow Public Association hosted a gala dinner at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20 December 2017 to celebrate its 70th Anniversary. The 29th inauguration ceremony was also held on the same day. Dr. Ma Kai Yum, President of the Association and Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation, invited a number of Foundation Members to attend the event. They included Dr. Ma Kai Cheung, SBS; Dr. Robin Chan, GBS, JP; Professor Chow Kai Wing; and Dr. Dennis Ng, BBS, MH as well as Dr. Wong Shu Yui, Vice-President of the Development Committee of the HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the dinner on behalf of the University.
