The School of Communication held its 50th anniversary gala dinner on 30 November 2018. Over 400 guests including government officials, representatives from local and overseas institutions and industries, members of the HKBU senior management, alumni, faculty, staff and students participated in this joyous event to celebrate the School’s Golden Jubilee.

A number of Foundation Members and supporters of the University were invited to join the dinner. They included Mrs. Mary Suen; Mr. Peter Lau and his wife Dr. Catherine Chan; and Ms. Leonie Ki, GBS, JP. Professor Huang Yu, Associate Vice-President (Mainland) and Dean of Communication, and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, also attended the dinner.
